Loading and unloading of material onto a machine tool can quite often determine how profitable the machine tool is. Techni Waterjet has developed a range of unique solutions to minimise the labour required, increase the production and minimise the chance of material breakage or damage.

The Material Handling System is mounted to the end of the techjet table and allows for easy loading and positioning of heavy and hard to handle materials onto the cutting bed. The system consists of a Boom type 220� Rotation Jib crane from which a � Ton, 2 speed, 3 phase electric hoist is trolley mounted. A specially designed 3 stage vacuum lift rig with retractable arms is used to pick up the material. The unique retractable arms allow the operator to pick up a range of sheet sizes by selecting from 2,4 or 6 vacuum cups to engage the material.
